March 22, 1817 - May 3, 1874
Alonzo was the son Daniel Morgan Boone and Sarah Griffen Lewis Boone and the grandson of the famous pioneer Colonel Daniel Boone. He was born in Montgomery County, Missouri. On December 17, 1840 Alonzo married Elizabeth Treble Stewart in Jackson County, Missouri. She was the daughter of David Stewart. The Stewart family are cousins of and repeatedly married into the Boone family.

Alonzo and Elizabeth were the parents of Sarah, Edward, Eliza Caroline, David Ewing, Susan Lee and Elizabeth Delilah.
