Miss Jean Wallace
Mountain Maid of the Ozarks
Born May 17, 1851 on a pier at the foot of Canal Street in New York City, New York
Died Feb 26, 1940 in a tragic fire that destroyed her cabin. Over the years many local and some out of state residents visited the 'Mountain Maid' in order to have their fortunes told. She only used her 'sixth sense' for good. She was a very zealous believer of The Bible and of the Episcopal faith.
