Mrs. J. R. Kinningham, 34, passed away Monday, April 14, 1941 at a Mount Vernon, Mo., hospital, where she had been for several weeks hoping to regain her health and recovery from illness which overcame her over a year ago. Her remains were brought back to Steele for burial arriving late Tuesday night.

Mrs. Kinningham, nee Cleo Orline Everett, was born August 3, 1906, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Everett of near Steele. She attended Steele schools and graduated from high school with the class of 1923. In September, 1926, she was married to J. R. Kinningham and to this union were born two children, Julia Jean and Joe Billy.

Deceased became a member of the Church of Christ early in life and lived a devoted member of the Church and faith. Her kindly attitude endeared her to many friends and in her home she was a devoted mother and companion.

She is survived by her husband, their little son and daughter, also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Everett, one sister, Mrs. Christine Arnold, three brothers, Hulan, Glenn and Ivan, besides other relatives and the many friends who share their grief and extend heartfelt consolation.

Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ in Steele Wednesday afternoon conducted by Elder Denton M. Neal, of Blytheville. With German Undertaking Co. in charge, burial was made in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
