John Anderson Hall, 86, son of Robert and Addie Grogan Hall, was born December 28, 1904, at Grogan. He died July 6, 1991, at his home at Willow Springs.
Over the years, he farmed and was a mechanic. Most recently he lived in Willow Springs and was groundskeeper at the Rawlings Plant. He spent all of his life in the Tyrone and Willow Springs area.
He wrote gospel songs and poetry.
He married Clara Alderson, who died in 1925.
He married Ethal Browne in 1931. She died in 1954.
In 1956, he married Ada Carr. She died in 1989.
In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Elmer; and a sister, Vera Russell.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Ray of Willow Springs; two sons, Charles Hall of Mountain View and Don Hall of Fulton, Ill.; two sisters, Leola Harr of East Peoria, Ill., and Goldie Aldridge of Elk Creek; two brothers, Les Hall of Elk Creek and Ben Hall of East Peoria, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services were July 9 at the Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home Chapel in Cabool with the Rev. Willie Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Near Home Cemetery.
