Donald Joseph Douglas, 73, son of Harry R. and Lulu R. Douglas, was born July 29, 1932, in the White Rock/Bucyrus area, where he grew up and farmed for many years. He died April 20, 2006, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from June 24, 1952, to June 18, 1956.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gene Dale; and a sister, Cybil. Surviving are three sons, Brian of Arkansas, Gene of Simmons and Mark of Iowa; one brother, Johnnie of Raymondville; two sisters, Lula Belle and Nina Gale of Colorado; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services were April 25 at the Emery Cemetery with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
