James L. (Jim) Gale, the son of Carmie Leon Gale and Glenna Mae Richards Gale, was born December 29, 1948 at Springfield, Missouri, and went to his heavenly home Wednesday morning, October 7, 2009 at St. Luke's Plaza Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, making his age 60 years, 9 months, and 8 days.

Jim was united in marriage to Patricia L. Morgeson, January 20, 1967. They were blessed with four children; Deloris, Donna, James and Jessica.

He was a born again believer, with no special denomination. He was, as he said, a Child of the King. He was in ROTC during the Vietnam conflict 1966-1967.

Jim and his family evangelized and sang for the glory of God. His passion was seeing people give their life to the Lord and singing.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, Carmie, and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his mother, Glenna Mitchell, of Farmington, MO; his wife, Pat, of the home in Belton, MO; four children: Deloris Merritt and husband, Brian, of Springfield, MO; Donna Tilley and husband, William B. Tilley III, Springfield, MO; James E. Gale and wife, Aimee, Lee's Summit, MO; Jessica Sommers and husband, Jeremy, Gladstone, MO; eight grandchildren: Samantha, Amber, Jordan, Taylor, William B. IV, Darren II, Carlene, and James Ryan. Jim is also survived by one brother, Greg Gale, and wife, Elaine, Marble Hill, MO; one sister, Teresa Beezley, Houston, MO, and a host of other family members and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be left at Bradford Funeral Home in Jim's memory to help with funeral expenses.

Graveside services were held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Midvale Cemetery with Pat Cronk officiating. Interment was in Midvale Cemetery under the care of Bradford Funeral Home.
