Walter Eugene Petty passed away at his home in Bragg City Tuesday, Oct. 9. He was born Jan. 9, 1877 and was 68 years old.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Steele, Thursday at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Dr. H.W. Ellis.
Interment was made at Holly Cemetery with the German Undertaking Co. in charge.

Mrs. Eula Gertrude Petty, 85, who had been a patient at a nursing home in Manila, Ark. for several months, died last Thursday, June 2.
She was born February 9, 1881 in Marie County, Tenn. and for several years before she became ill was supervisor of the Sunday morning nursery at First Presbyterian Church in this city.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Steele Methodist Church with the pastor Rev. Charles Miller, assisted by the Rev. Paul Currie and Rev. Marvin Niblack officiating. Burial was in Holly Cemetery at Steele with German Funeral Home service.
She leaves two sons, E.E. Petty of Steele and Everett Petty of Blytheville; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Mae Nelson of Mission, Kans., Mrs. Thera Lee of Auburn, Calif. and Mrs. Jewel Holley of Colorado Springs; four sisters, Mrs. Maybell Stover of Troy, Tenn., Mrs. Carie Crabtree of Minick, Tenn., Mrs. Palkie Gunter and Mrs. Anna Call of Newbern, Tenn.; seventeen grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
