Amy was the daughter of Aubrey Walter and Ida Sarah Ward Harrison. She was never married and her occupation was housekeeping.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 3, 1953 at the Assembly of God Church in this city for Miss Amy Josephine Harrison, who for 30 years was a resident in this community. Rev. A.M. Roberts officiated at the services and interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery. German Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Miss Harrison was born March 3, 1916 in Savannah, Tenn., to Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Harrison. She moved to this community as a small child. She was well known in Steele and passed away at her home here on Sunday, March 1, 1953 at the age of 36 years, 11 months and 28 days.

Her survivors are: a brother, Ed Harrison of Hornersville; three sisters, Miss Fannie Harrison and Miss May Harrison of Steele and Mrs. Maud Killough of Detroit, Michigan; four nephews and three nieces.
