Al Porter, born June 25, 1890, died July 12, 1960, at the Kennedy Veterans Hospital in Memphis. He was 70 years, 17 days of age.
Veteran of World War I, he was until recently, a farm laborer in this vicinity.
Services were held at the German Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 Wednesday.
Rev. Lyall Parsons officiated; interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery. German Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
His only survivors are his sister, Mrs. Nettie Sikes, Hayti; and a niece, Linda Carter of Hayti.
