Oscar Adam Wible, retired farmer of this community, died at his home at 410 W. Thirteenth street last Friday, August 1, largely of the infirmities of age, being almost 69 years old. Funeral services were held at the German Funeral Home chapel in Steele at 2 p.m. the following day, with services conducted by the pastor of the Assembly of God church at Denton, and interment was in Mt. Zion cemetery near Steele.
Mr. Wible, who had lived in this city for the past six years, was born in Salem, Ind., August 11, 1883. He is survived by his wife, Belle and three daughters, in his immediate family--Mdmes. Frances Davidson of Caruthersville and Laura Duncan and Ethel Collins of Detroit, Mich. Other survivors include two sisters; Mrs. Golden Horton of Steele and Mrs. Defnie Moore, who lives in California; a half-brother, Nener Wible, whose home in in Texas and a half-sister whose name is not available.
