Timothy Eugene Butts, 43 of Cabool, MO passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO following a sudden illness. He was born on December 13, 1970 in Olathe, KS the son of the late Howard Earl and Barbara (Zook) Butts.

Tim attended and graduated from Cabool Schools. It was stated in his baby book by his mother, Barbara, that “he is his father’s son”; so for those of you that knew both you can probably appreciate that statement. He had worked for several years at MFA in Cabool and most recently at Hunter Oil Company. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting or gardening but he especially enjoyed hitting the gravel roads for a drive in the country.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Jeffrey. He is survived by his grandparents, Earl and Erma Butts of Cabool, MO; a sister, Tracy Gerkey and husband, Tim of Springfield, MO; his brother, Samuel Butts of Cabool, MO; a sister, Eva Cox and husband, Brad of Springfield, MO; his aunt, Lea Harmon and husband, Max of Cabool, MO and their son, Jason Harmon and wife, Catrina of Texas; five nieces and nephews, David Gerkey of Ohio, Jillian Gerkey of Springfield, MO, Kevin Butts and wife, Katie of South Carolina, Taylor and Brandon Cox of Springfield, MO and April Rickerson of Hermitage; as well as other relatives and many friends. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
