Rhoda Jane Learue, 70, of Route 2, Steele, died Tuesday, October 25th at the Hayti Hospital. She had lived in this community for 60 years.
Funeral Services were at the Church of Christ, Gibson Bayou, Thursday, October 27th, with Bro. Mason Harris officiating.
She was born in Camden, Benton County, TN on January 4, 1896.
She leaves two sons: Elmer Learue, San Jose, CA and Clyan Learue, Steele; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Davis, Caruthersville; three sisters: Mrs. Della Perry, Hayti; Mrs. Pearl Tucker, Wardell; and Mrs. Vera Ursery, Brosely, MO; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Quentin Still, Eugene Kelleras, Eugene Kellems, Jr., Rondal Lane, Charles McClannahan and Olan Johnson.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Steele, with German Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Rhoda Jane Learue, resident of Steele for the past 60 years, died Tuesday, October 25 at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at the Boone Chapel on Gibson Bayou with the Rev. Mason Harris of Steele officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home service.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Davis of Caruthersville; two sons, Elmer Learue of San Jose, Calif. and Clyan Learue of Steele; three sisters, Mrs. Della Perry of Hayti, Mrs. Vera Usrey of Broseley, Mo. and Mrs. Pearl Tucker of Wardell; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
