Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Ann Mangum, 72, were held Thursday, April 20 at the Wardell Baptist church with the Rev. Howard Ray and Rev. Darrel Jauch officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion cemetery near Steele, with Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mangum was born in Paris, Tenn. on November 4, 1888 and died at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo. on Sunday, April 16.
She is survived by four daughters, Bessie Downing, Mary Ryals, Lorene Haley and Reba Cranford and five sons, Arthur Lee Mangum, Daniel, Paul, Hubert and Billy Mangum. Also survives are 27 grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
