Roscoe C. Mangum, 74, was born December 1, 1882, at Vienna, Ill. and died at his home in Wardell on Friday, November 15.
Funeral services were held the following Monday afternoon at the Wardell Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard Ray officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele with Osburn Funeral Home service.
Mr. Mangum leaves his wife, Mrs. Frances Mangum of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Rufus Downing, Qulin, Mo., Mrs. S.T. Ryals and Mrs. William Cranford of West Memphis, Ark. and Mrs. Lorene Haley of Wardell; five sons, Arthur Lee Mangum, Vista, Calif., Daniel T. Mangum, Memphis, Paul D. Mangum, Wardell, Hubert B. Mangum, Buckeye, Ariz. and William R. Mangum, Asatola, Fla.; a half-brother, L.L. Hampton, Little Rock, Ark.; also 26 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
