Funeral services were held March 3, 1981 at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel for Sammie King. Rev. Morrell Upchurch and Rev. Ed Hendley officiated.

Mr. King was born April 22, 1931 at Huffman, Ark., and died March 1, 1981 at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti. He was 49.

He leaves his wife, Joyce King of the home; one daughter, Patricia Ann King, of the home; his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Z.M. King; three sisters, Minnie Bell Hilburn of Osceola, Ark., May Barnett of Caruthersville, and Helen Elliott of Steele; two brothers, Johnnie King of Gideon, Mo., and Paul King of Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Cecil Riley, Harold Ganus, J. B. Barnard, Rev. Charles Faught, Carroll Littrell, and Clifford Britt.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
