Cody Henry Carr, 96, died May 21 at Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Mo.
Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home in Cabool was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Cabool Cemetery.
Mr. Carr was born June 7, 1896, in Freeburg, Ill., to Joseph Henry and Isabelle Carr. He was employed in the oil fields for many years and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; a daughter, Barbara Scent of Cedar Lake, Ind.; a son, Charles of Ottawa; four stepchildren, Jack Hardin of California, Ken Reese of Cabool, Joyce Stumpff of Galena, Mo., and Elizabeth Hill of Newark, Ark; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joe; a sister, and a grandson, Martin Carr.
