Donald R. "Don" Loughridge, 53, son of Woodrow Wilson Loughridge and Esther Mae Neville, was born Dec. 22, 1949, at Solo. He died March 3, 2003.
He graduated from Cabool High School in 1967 and married Becky Lathrom in 1968 at Tyrone. They had three children.
Mr. Loughridge was a meat cutter for 34 years, recently working for Price Cutter in Springfield. He was a minister and served congregations in Kansas and Missouri. Most recently he was involved at Gibson Chapel Presbyterian Church at Springfield.
His hobbies included spending time with his family, watching the weather (especially snow), traveling and outdoor activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Donald R. Loughridge Jr.
Surviving are his wife; son, Christopher Scott Loughridge; daughter, Sherry Ward; siblings, Richard Loughridge, Darrel Loughridge, Nancy Loughridge Frost, Dale Loughridge, Judy Loughridge and Danny Loughridge; and two grandchildren.
Services were March 7 at the Cabool Assembly of God with the Rev. Richard Loughridge, the Rev. Danny Loughridge, the Rev. Darrel Loughridge and the Rev. Harvey Hoffman officiating. Burial was in the Cabool Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home of Cabool.
