Mark Allen Gregory, age 47, of Covington, VA, (formerly of Willow Springs, MO) passed away Sept. 2, 2010. Mark was born July 24, 1963, in Cabool, MO, to Donald Jack and Helen Louise (Luttrell) Gregory.

Mark married Wilma Lee Putnam on Dec. 26, 1993.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Lillie Mae (Kinder) Luttrell, his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Ena (Trowbridge) Gregory, Uncles Marvin Gregory and Herbert Gregory.

Mark is survived by his wife, Lee, of the family home, children U.S. Army Sgt. William Lee Putnam II, and wife, Elizabeth and son Hunter, of Clarksville, TN, Catherine Hope Hyler of Covington, VA, Andrew Franklin Hyler of the state of Texas, and Calvin Lee Hyler of Covington, VA. He is further survived by his parents, Jack and Helen Gregory of Willow Springs; brothers Stephen Gregory of Denison, Texas, Keith, and wife Lalah Gregory of Willow Springs; and a host of family and friends.

Mark was a 1981 graduate of Willow Springs High School, he served in the U.S. Army and Texas Army National Guard. He worked many years as an over-the-road truck driver and 3 years in Iraq with KBR.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Willow Funeral Home in Willow Springs, MO. Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at 10 a.m. at Willow Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Willow Springs City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home. (Howell County News, Sept. 8, 2010)
