Graveside services for Sandra Kay "Sandy" Claxton Arnold, 60, Woodland Hills, Calif., will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Arnold died Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, in the UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, Calif. She was born Aug. 21, 1948, in Hanford, Calif., to Olin Claxton and Jean Claxton Wilson.
Sandra worked for Emmy-winning Bill Melendez Productions for the past 36 years as casting director for the PEANUTS TV and Movie specials and commercials. In 1997, Sopwith Productions, the art distribution arm of the company, was established and Sandy, as Vice President of Production, oversaw the production of art in the L.A. Studio, as well as traveling to art galleries across the country for shows of the animated art. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, West Plains.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Arnold, and sons, Ben and Morgan Arnold, Woodland Hills, Calif.; her mother, Jean Claxton Wilson; sister, Priscilla Winegar and husband, Jerry, daughter, Jennifer Gilbreath, husband, Mark, sons, Sam and Ben, son, Zachary Brown and wife, Kristen, daughter, Ireland; sister, Patricia Smith, son, Chris Collins, and daughters, Brianna and Noel.
Her father, Olin Claxton, preceded her in death.
Sandy touched everyone with friendship and love and we will miss her.
