Funeral services for Leslie Guy Dean, 64, Pomona, Mo., will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at Pomona Christian Church under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Dean died 7:34 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Mo. He was born Oct. 15, 1943, at Mtn. View, Mo., to Douglas Guy and Lucille Mae Patterson Dean.
On April 17, 1965, he was married at Pomona, Mo., to Linda Brassfield.
Before his retirement, Mr. Dean was a truck driver and he loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a lifetime member of the Pomona Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Dean, of the family home; three children, Leroy Dean, wife, Kelly, West Plains, Galen Dean, wife, Amy, Willard, Mo., and Lori Wood, husband, John, Willow Springs, Mo.; eight grandchildren; his mother, Lucille Dean, Mtn. Grove, Mo.; one brother, Charles Dean, wife, Brenda, Mtn. Grove, Mo.; four sisters, Cleta Collins, husband, Sam, Pomona, Mo., Mabel Cox, Grand Junction, Colo., Linda Reed, husband, Doug, and Elina Crewes, husband, Delbert, Mtn. Grove, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
His father and grandparents precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to National Kidney Foundation or Pomona Christian Church Building Fund and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
