Douglas Dean Ward, 59, of Hannibal, Missouri, died at 12:30 AM Friday, December 20, 2013 at his home.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 AM Friday, December 27, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hannibal. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery.
The Family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal .
There will be no Visitation.
Mr. Ward was born July 9, 1954, in St. Louis to Clois D. and Mildred A. Bell Ward.
He was married to Sue A. Lane on February 14,2005 in Black Oak, MO. She survives.
Other survivors include 4 children, Michael Jones of Sturgeon, MO, Danel Gipson (Kevin) of Branson, MO, Christina Portell of St. Louis, MO, Paul Ward (Michelle) of Aurora, MO,1 Brother, Denny Ward (Natalie) of St. Peters, MO,1 Sister, Shirley Denen of St. Louis, MO, 6 Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother; Larry Ward.
Mr. Ward served four years in MissouriArmy National Guard. He was self employed and operated a wholesale business. He was also the former manager of Auto Zone in Fulton, MO. Doug was also a talented auctioneer. He was an animal lover and he loved his 4 cats that were his babies. Mr. Ward enjoyed visiting cemeteries and was a photo contributor to "Find A Grave.com". He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Hannibal, MO.
Memorial contributions may be made to Northeast Missouri Humane Society in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
