George E. Bales, 80, died Saturday, April 28, 2001 at North Kansas City Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday May 1 at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond; burial in Richmond Memory Gardens where a military graveside service will be held under the direction of the Richmond American Legion Post #237, and the Richmond VFW Post #4398. Visitation will be 7-8p.m. Monday, April 30, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the WW11-Korean Memorial Fund, c/o Thurman Funeral Home, 507 E main, Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
