VEARL E. MORRIS Age 74, Pomona Howell Co MO - Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today (Mon., Jan. 21, 1980), in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains MO, with Rev. Frank Hall officiating. Mr. Morris died at 10:15 a.m. today at his home, suffering from an apparent heart attack. He was born Jul. 2, 1905 in Illinois, the son of the late Edgar and Fannie Smith Morris. He had been employed with the Gardner Wire Company at Cicero IL until the time of his retirement. Shortly after his retirement the family moved to the Pomona area. On Feb. 15, 1940, he was married in Iowa to Elsie Hooper. Mr. Morris had been a long-time member of the United Brethren Church, a member of Mount Zion Masonic Lodge No. 327 AF and AM, West Plains, and a member of the Medinah Temple at Chicago IL. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie Morris, Pomona; three children, Edward Morris, Bolinbrook IL; Vicki Daniels, Pomona MO and Charles Clark, Bolinbrook IL; 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild and a sister, Hleen Morris, Oak Park IL. Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains MO.
