Graveside services for Faye Long, 93, West Plains, were held on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Howell Memorial park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. Long died at 1:10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, in NHC HealthCare. She was born Oct. 28, 1914, near Twin Bridges, Mo., to Charles and Cora Gilbert Cunningham. On Oct. 14, 1932, she was married to Irvin Bunch who preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1971. On August 19, 1976, she was married at Crider, Mo., to Loys Long, who preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 1988. Mrs. Long enjoyed gardening and cooking; no one could make chicken and dumplings like Granny. She loved her family and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one daughter, Lillie M. Carroll; 11 grandchildren, Connie Carte Dwayne Bunch, Wanda Wilbanks, Verlin Bunch, Donna Masner, Susie Bunch, Claude Bunch Jr., Belinda Eldringhoff, Debbie Beavers, Renea Ostermiller and Eric Bunch; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Naomi Painter and Linda Cummings; three sisters, Maye Thornton, Ora Collins and Mildren Johnson and many nieces and nephews. Her parents; husbands; four sons, Ralph, Claude, Floyd and Ernie Bunch; one granddaughter, Genise Bunch; two sisters, Zora Bunch and Stella Warren and two brothers, Lloyd and John Cunningham, precede her in death. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
