Funeral services for Ralph Junior Fox, 83, West Plains, Mo., were held Monday, December 29, 2008 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Fox died 9:15 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at his home. He was born Jan. 18, 1925, at Pottersville, Mo., to Walter and Grace Merrit Fox.
On Jan. 21, 1946, Mr. Fox was married at Salem, Ark., to Lois Catherine Matlock who preceded him in death on March 20, 2007.
Before his retirement, Mr. Fox had been an automobile salesman and farmer. He was a member of the West Plains Car Club and loved working with old cars, camping, hunting, fishing and spending time with the grandkids. He was a member of the West 160 Church of Christ for ten years.
He is survived by two children, Sue Wheeler and husband, Johnny, and Joe Fox and wife, Kathy, of West Plains; three grandchildren, Darron Wheeler and wife, Amy, of West Plains, Adam Fox of Nixa, Mo., and Casey Fox, of West Plains; three great-grandchildren, Andrew Wheeler, Emily Wheeler and Braelynn Fox; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents; wife; and two sisters, Eunice Carter and Blanche Singleton, precede him in death.
Burial was at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Plains Senior Citizens Center or Fair Haven Children's Home and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. [Howell County News]
