Myrtle E. Ragsdale was the daughter of John L. and Cordelia Ragsdale. She was born in Morris township, near Bado, Texas county, Missouri. She married Jesse Larmer Ellis Feb. 14, 1917 at Bado, Texas county, Missouri. They had at least six children.
Ethel M. (Ragsdale) Ellis had been in ill health for several years before her death at age 73 years, six months, and four days.
Ethel was a lifelong resident of the Bado community, with the exception of the past two years when the family moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was survived by three sons, three daughters, one sister, Lille Hartgrave, of Houston, Missouri, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
