Violet Bernice Erzinger, daughter of Loyd and Maye Cunningham Thornton of Pomona, Missouri was born in Douglas County, Missouri April 25, 1946. Entered into eternal rest June 16, 1972 at the age of 26 years.
On May 13th, 1965 Mrs Erzinger was married to George Erzinger who survives her as do three daughters who are Paula, Melanie and Glenda Erzinger all of the family home. Also surviving are her parents Mr & Mrs Loyd Thornton of Pomona, Missouri and five brothers and sisters who are Bob Thornton, Alton, Lavonne Fine, Pomona, Lonnie Thornton, and Jeanne Lowe of Willow Springs and Judy Vaughn of Jonesboro, Arkansas, her maternal grandparents Mr & Mrs Charles Cunningham of West Plains, and the paternal grandfather, J.T. Thornton of Willow Springs, Missouri.
Preceding her in death is a sister Louise Thornton.
Mrs Erzinger has been a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church for the past 15 years.
Memorial services were held at the Oak Grove Church on Sunday June 18th at 2:pm, with the Reverend Lester Bradford officiating.
Pallbearers were Leroy Cunningham, Floyd Bunch, Kenneth White, Dwayne Thornton, Charles Haddock and Dallas Altermatt.
Singers were the Buster Brixey Quartet who sang "Precious Memories", "Beyond The Sunset" and "Farther Along".
