Charles T. Hoisington was born on March 29, 1920 in Wilson, New York, the son of Richard and Bess Tower Hoisington. He departed this life on February 11, 1985 at the Veteran's Hospital in Columbia, Missouri at the age of 64 years, 10 months, and 12 days.
He moved to this area when he was still a baby and had remained here all his life. Charles was united in marriage to Norma Vandeventer on May 3, 1946 and to this union two children were born.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, five brothers and one sister.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Norma, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Karen Hoisington of Willow Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Allen Thompson of Willow Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Betty Hoisington of Pottersville, Michigan; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Jessie Vandeventer of Willow Springs; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Doyle and Dorothy Vandeventer, and Don and Betty Vandeventer, all of Underwood, Washington, Nina Hoisington of Willow Springs; seven grandchildren, Renee Thompson, Chuck Thompson, Rhonda Thompson, Tammy Hoisington, Christy Hoisington, Chanda Hoisington, David Hoisington, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Norma Maxine Hoisington, daughter of Clarence and Jessie Vandeventer, was born in the Clear Springs area on November 24, 1921. She departed this life on February 6, 1993 at Willow Care nursing home, Willow Springs, Missouri at the age of 71.
Norma was united in marriage to Charles Hoisington and to this union two children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Jessie, her husband Charles, her mother and father-in-law, and one brother-in-law.
She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Judy Thompson and her husband Allen; one son, Russell Hoisington and his wife Karen, all of Willow springs; two brothers, Doyle Vandeventer and his wife Dorothy, and Don Vandeventer and his wife Betty, all of Underwood, Washington; one sister-in-law, Betty Hoisington of Pottersville, Michigan; her grandchildren, Renee Thompson, Rhonda Thompson, Chuck Thompson and his wife Tabby, and Tammy, Christy, Chanda and David Hoisington; two great grandchildren, Brandon Barton and Victoria Thompson; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Norma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her life was spent in total devotion to the comfort and needs of her family. Her loving care, kindness and praises will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
