Obituary:
Our community was saddened Monday when Clara Pauline Harbison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harbison, passed away after an illness of several months. Clara Pauline was born four miles northwest of Tuscumbia on November 29, 1922, and died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, being 9 years, 4 months and six days old. Besides father, mother and three little brothers—Bob Frank and Harley Hoyt and an infant brother—she leaves a host of close relatives and friends who will miss the happy companionship they have enjoyed with her.
Pauline had been sick for many months. Last week she was brought home from Kansas City where she had spent four weeks at Mercy Hospital under the care and treatment of some of the best specialists, but she gradually grew worse and last week she was brought home by her father and aunt, Mrs. Jas. Demott, who gave her tender care during her last illness. During her illness Pauline bore her suffering patiently and cheerfully. She conversed with the family just a few moments before she passed away into peaceful sleep.
Following the impressive services, the body was conveyed to the Tuscumbia Cemetery by W.A. Phillips funeral director.
