Robert Eugene Harrop, 66, Greenwood, Ark., formerly of the Mountain View and Willow Springs, Mo., area, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at St. Edward Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Aug. 7, 1942, in Topeka, Kan., to Ross and Rachel Harrop. Bob graduated from Seaman High School in Topeka, Kan. He was married to Beverly Ruth Parkhurst (now deceased) in November 1963. He was married to Mari Ella Turner (now deceased) on Feb. 14, 1994. Bob was retired from his own tractor repair business. Bob's biggest joy was his love of the Lord. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his four children, Kathy Clark and husband, Jim, of Mountain View, Mo., Ida Good and husband, Edward, of Willow Springs, Mo., Tony Frye of Kansas City, Mo.; Bobbie Richards and husband, Scott, of Greenwood, Ark.; his four "unofficially adopted" children, Jim McGee, Diane McGee, Joe Gamble, and Mary Collins, all of Missouri; four brothers and three sisters. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Beverly Harrop and Mari Harrop; a sister, Hazel; and two brothers, Russel and John Riley. Bob attended Calvary Chapel Assembly of God in Hackett, Ark., and was still a member of the Pomona Assembly of God church in Pomona, Mo. Bob was cremated in Fort Smith, Ark. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at the Pomona Assembly of God, with the Rev. Michael Dillinger officiating, with burial in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
