Glenna Pauline Ruberson was born December 22, 1920 in Oregon County, MO the daughter of Loyd Edmond Bay and Mary Elizabeth (Schneider) Bay. She passed away June 27, 2009 in Ozark, MO at the age of 88 years.
She was united in marriage to Ivan Samuel "Dutch" Ruberson on February 28, 1944 at West Plains, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dutch in 1994; four brothers Robert Bay and wife Bessie; Buddy "William" Bay; Lloyd "Jr" Bay; and Raymond Darrill Bay; two sisters Velma Hendrix and husband James and Fern Wisecarver and husband Don; one sister-in-law Sylvia Bay and brothers-in-law Floyd Barnes and Joseph Calvin.
She is survived by one brother Virgil "Shorty" Bay of Springfield, MO; four sisters Louise Cline and husband Roderick of Carthage, MO, Mae Barnes of Liberty, MO; Kay Walker and husband Max of Springfield, MO, and Joanne Calvin of Nixa, MO: two sisters-in-law Kay Bay of Marshall, MO and Maryan Bay of Idaho; a special niece Edith Reiscamp and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Glenna lived in the Mountain View area and attended school at Oak Ridge, graduating from Mountain View High School in 1943. She attended college at Missouri State Teachers College and taught in Arkansas for a while. Glenna and Dutch lived in the Winona area for several years, during which time she volunteered at the library. Glenna (Sis) spent most of her life as a housewife. She loved reading, quilting, crocheting, growing flowers and the CARDINALS. Although she had no children of her own, she spent a lot of time with her siblings and their families. She had spent the last several years in the Springfield area to be near her family.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10AM in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery at Pomona, MO with Rev. Phil Jester officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home of Winona, MO. [Current Wave, July 8, 2009]
