Funeral services for Faye Baker, 81, West Plains, will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. Baker died 2:07 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9, 2009, in Ozarks Medical Center. She was born March 20, 1927, at South Fork, Mo., to Barton and Nettie Dover Alsup. On Dec. 12, 1959, she was married at West Plains, Mo., to James Richard (Jim) Baker who preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 2003. Mrs. Baker was of the Pentecostal faith with her membership in the Trinity Worship Center of West Plains for five years. She loved her church and spending time with her family. She is survived by three children, Homer (Corkey) Farra, fiancee, Joyce Vaughn, of Mammoth Spring, Ark., Edwin James Baker of West Plains and Beverly Vandiver, husband, Stanley, of West Plains; three grandchildren, Eric Vandiver, fiancee, Alicia Bales, Joshua James Baker and Jordan Vandiver; one great-grandchild, Kaylie Joann Vandiver; one brother, Barton Alsup of Springfield, Mo.; four sisters, May Shelton, husband, Ray, of Green Forest, Ark., Ellen Davis, Georgia Abney, husband, Eli and Lena Hammock, all of West Plains; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents; husband; one son, John Franklin Farra; two brothers, John and Frank Alsup; and one sister, Vina Kincheloe, precede her in death. Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
