Dr. Jimmie Lee Rose was born in Dexter, Missouri on February 17, 1943 the son of Carl and Elizabeth Rose. He passed away on June 27, 2011 in the Kabul Nursing Home, Cabool, MO at the age of 68.
Jim is survived by his wife, Vera Harris Rose; his two sons, Tim of Springfield, Missouri and Tod of West Plains, Missouri; a grandson, Satchel and a granddaughter, Tenera.
Jim attended School of the Ozarks and the University of Arkansas before graduating from the Southern College of Optometry in 1967. After graduation, he joined Dr. Ray Perry in Cabool, Missouri. Dr. Jim Perry later joined Jim in his practice.
After his retirement, he and Vera were able to travel and enjoy their interests. He also enjoyed working with his son, Tod, in his Optometry Practice in West Plains, Missouri and he especially enjoyed golfing with his friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Carl. He is also survived by his mother, Elizabeth; a sister, Carlene and husband, David; a brother, Joe and wife, Debbie; sister-in-law, Pat and husband, Ed; nephews, Ashley, Danny, Jeffrey and many friends. [egcfuneralhome.com]

Vera Glorine Harris was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on November 1st,1942 the daughter of Frank and Marguerite Harris. She passed away on March 4th 2022 at the age of 79.
Vera is survived by her two sons Tim of Cabool, Missouri and Tod of West Plains, Missouri; grandchildren Tenera and Satchel and great grandchildren Jax and Nova.
Vera met the love of her life at Point Lookout, Missouri while attending School of The Ozarks. Both Jim and Vera credit College of The Ozarks for giving them an education they otherwise could not afford. Jim Rose would tell anybody that would listen that “Babes” was the best thing to ever happen to him.
Vera taught first grade at Cabool Missouri and later served on the School board. The Cabool School District was her passion and she loved Cabool. The generosity of Vera Rose and Jim Rose has been felt by many through Scholarships and other gestures.
Vera was preceded in death by her husband Jim, father Frank Harris and mother Marguerite Harris.
