Leslie Wayne Ross was born 11 Apr 1930 at Dora, MO to Charles Sylvester Sr. and Phoebe Ellen (Collins) Ross. He died Nov. 22, 2004 at his home in Branson, MO.
Mr. Ross attended Missouri University at Columbia.
He was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Mt. Zion Lodge A.F. and A.M. No. 327, West Plains and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine, AAONMS, Springfield, MO.
He attended Cowboy Church, Branson, MO.
Wayne is survived by his high school sweetheart Ruby (Collins) Ross of the home; two children, son James and wife Christine; and daughter Lee Ann Wheelbarger of Houston, TX; three stepchildren, Joann Bessy and husband Chuck of Fordland, MO; Debbie Phillips and husband Clay of Fair Grove, MO; and Cylani C. J. Newson and husband Christopher of Branson, MO; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Sylvester Ross, Jr. of Little Rock, AR; one sister, Shirley Mask and husband Gene of West Plains, MO; and special sister-in-law Betty Ross of Winfield, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Basil Ross and Earl Ross.
Masonic Rites were conducted Nov. 21, 2004 by Mt. Zion Lodge A.F. and A.M. # 327 of West Plains, MO. Funeral services with Missouri Military Funeral Honors Guard were Nov. 22, 2004 at the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains with burial following at Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains, MO.
