Funeral services were held Thursday, October 30, at the First Baptist Church in Steele for Robin Wayne DePriest, 28, who died October 27 at Kyle, S.D. The Rev. James McCrary and the Rev. Joe Smith officiated.
Mr. DePriest, a lifelong resident of the Steele and Holland areas, died when he fell while working on a storage tank as a welder for the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company.
He was the son of the late Howard DePriest and Wilma DePriest of Steele and was united in marriage to Charlotte Ratliff at Steele on November 23, 1967.
Mr. DePriest served three years in the U.S. Army in Germany.
He leaves his wife, Charlotte DePriest of Steele; a daughter, Mitzi DePriest; his mother, Mrs. Wilma DePriest of Steele; four brothers, Howard DePriest, Jr., of Shelby, Miss.; James DePriest of DeSoto, Mo.; Charles DePriest of Poplar Bluff; and Larry DePriest of Steele; also two sisters, Mrs. Richard Gruenwald of Memphis and Mrs. Allen Camp of Memphis.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
