Bobby Wayne Glidewell, 65, of Steele, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at his home.
Born September 25, 1941 in Selmer, Tenn., he is the son of the late Willie E. and Mary L. Heathcock Glidewell.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Glidewell.
Bobby was united in marriage to Tudy Crocker on January 30, 1965 in Holland.
He was a car dealer and owner and operator of Boss Hogg BBQ and a member of the Crossroads Worship Center.
Mr. Glidewell leaves his wife, Tudy Glidewell, of the home; two sons: Ricky Glidewell of Portageville and Bobby Gene Glidewell of Steele; two daughters: Lisa VanDyke and Tracy Vaughn, both of Steele; one brother: Larry Glidewell, of Steele; two sisters: Carolyn Young of Lonoke, Ark., and Patsy Ellis of Blytheville, Ark.; 13 grandchildren: Ashlea Glidewell, Alexis Glidewell, Stephanie Glidewell, Ariel Glidewell, Courtney Kinnision, Hunter Kinnision, Lane VanDyke, Casey Flanagan, Colby Flanagan, Jarrika Vaughn, Ashley Glidewell, Aliah Glidewell, and David Glidewell; two great-grandchildren: Kadence Porter and Brooklyn Kinnision; and two aunts: Shirley Threadgill of Steele and Rachel Arnold of Parsons, Tenn.
Funeral services for Mr. Glidewell were held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Apostolic Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church in Steele with Bro. Glyn Davis officiating.
Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of services.
Pallbearers were Mike Evans, Ronnie Forbus, Joe Kinnision, Shannon Overturf, Danny Sanders and Danny Stover.
