Melvin Vernon Atchison was born March 26, 1922, in Tennessee and died January 17, 1984, at the Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff. He was 61.
Mr. Atchison leaves one daughter, Arleta Bogart of Biloxi, Miss.; One son, Henry Lee Atchison of Benton Harbor, Mich.; One sister, Kate Campbell of Lenox, Tenn.; and One brother, Charlie Atchison of Lenox.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 20, at 2:30 p.m. at the German-Aumon funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. Sherel Jetton officiated.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
