Sandra Jean cross, 68, of Cooter, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Kennett.
Born February 20, 1944 in Talladega, Ala., she is the daughter of the late Clarence Roberts and Linda Salter Roberts.
Sandy was united in marriage with Donald Cross on February 1, 1964 in Chicago, Ill.
She was owner and operator of the Tan Line Tanning Salon in Cooter.
Mrs. Cross leaves her husband, Donald Cross, of Cooter; one son, Phillip Cross and wife, Deanna, of Steele; one daughter, Leigh Ann Cross, of Cooter; three brothers: Bennie Roberts, Frankie Roberts and Scott Roberts, all of Tampa, Fla.; two grandsons: Steve Previtt and Jake Previtt; one great-granddaughter, Adalyn Previtt; and a host of relative and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cross were held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating.
Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were Earl Yates, Charlie Blagg, Jake Previtt, Steve Previtt, Scotty Robertson and Todd Evilsizor.
Powell Funeral Home was in charge of services.
