Bonnie Sue Powers, 72, of Steele, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at River Oaks Care Center.
Born July 3, 1938 in Gosnell, Ark., she is the daughter of the late Virgil Powers and Minnie Wiggs Powers. She was also preceded in death by two sons Michael Razer and Randy William Razer; one brother, Jimmy Powers; and one sister, Betty Mathis.
Bonnie was a homemaker and a certified nurses aide and was a graduate of Steele High School.
Ms. Powers leaves one daughter, Cathy Shubert, of Steele; Two granddaughters: Amy Trammel and Chris of Steele and Jessica Razer of Fayetteville, Ark.; One grandson, Jared Shubert and Jenna, of Jonesboro, Ark.; Three great-grandchildren: Jacob, Jayden and Gracyn Trammel; Three brothers: Steve Powers of Steele, Charles Powers of Wappello, Mo. and Frank Powers of Westville, Okla.; Two sisters: Beth Johnson of Sand Springs, Okla. and Karen Parmes of Steele.
Graveside services for Ms. Powers were at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Rev. John Mundy officiating.
Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of services.
