Mr. Charles Edward Hinklin, 50, of Cooter, Mo., died Saturday, August 8, 1998 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.

Born November 26, 1947 in Cooter, Mo., he was the son of the late Samuel Lee Hinklin and Geneieve Bragg Hinklin.

Charles was united in marriage to Betty Razer in Cooter. He was an owner-operator truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union.

Mr. Hinklin leaves his wife, Betty Hinklin, of Cooter;
His son, Charles S. Hinklin, of Manila, Ark.; three daughters: Karen Clifton, of Ft. Smith, Ark., Sherry Stegall, of Steele, Mo., and Stormy Lynn Hinklin of Joplin, Mo.; six brothers: Eddie Lee Hinklin of Peterson, Ala., Delmar Hinklin and Bill Hinklin of Steele, Donnie Hinklin of Cooter, David Hinklin of Blythevile, Ark., and Eddie Hinklin of Rockford, Ill.; four sisters: Diane Pierce of Cooter, Pat Fisher of Steele, Joyce Snead of Blytheville, and Debbie Hutton of Jonesboro, Ark.; and
three grandchildren: Zachary Stegall and Madison Stegall, both of Steele, and Rachel Clifton of Ft. Smith.

Funeral services for Mr. Hinklin were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 1998, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville with Rev. Jerry Baker and Rev. Doug Applegate officiating.

Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery with Cobb Funeral Home in charge.
