Ralph Marshall "Shot" Heathcock, 65, of Holland, Mo., died Sunday, July 23, 2000 at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Born Saturday, July 20, 1935 in Holland, he was the son of the late Henry Heathcock and Ethel Channell Heathcock. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Joe Elza Heathcock and
G. C. Heathcock.

Shot was united in marriage to Marilyn Lucille Cross on September 14, 1964 in Holland. She preceded him in death on October 19, 1990.

On July 29, 1994, he was united in marriage to Connie Shubert in Blytheville, Ark.

He served his country in the United States Army, was a truck driver, and member of the Holland Baptist Church.

Mr. Heathcock leaves his wife, Connie Heathcock of Cooter; five daughters: Vicki Cameron of Steele, Lesa Evilsizor of Norfolk, Nebr., Kim Beatty of Louisiana, Misty Flowers of Caruthersville, Mo., and Samantha Flowers of Cooter, Mo.; one son, Brian Heathcock, of Cooter; two sisters: Cherre Erwin of Holland and Anita Kilburn of Pace, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Heathcock were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2000 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. John Dunavant officiating.

Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele in charge.

Pallbearers were Billy Wayne Eaton, Ronnie Forbus, Steve Eaton, Thomas Eaton, Windy Scott and Billy Cross.

Honorary pallbearers were James Allen Pruitt and Clarence Edward White.

Marilyn Lucille Heathcock, 54, of Steele, Mo., died Friday, October 19, 1990, at St. Bernard Hospital in Jonesboro, Ark.

Daughter of Floyd Cross and Inez McVay Cross, she was born August 27, 1936 at Atkins, Ark.

On September 14, 1964 she married Ralph "Shot" Heathcock at Holland, Mo. and was a homemaker.

Her father and one brother, Kenneth Cross, preceded her in death.

She leaves her husband, Shot Heathcock, of Steele; two daughters: Vicki Cameron of Steele and Lesa Lewis of Gosnell, Ark.; a son-in-law, Stephen Lewis, of Gosnell;
Her mother, Inez Cross, of Steele; three brothers: Billy Cross of Mountain Grove, Mo., and Donald Cross and Bennie Cross, both of Steele; one sister, Sharon Robertson, of Steele; and two grandsons: Jason Cameron of Steele and Butch Lewis of Gosnell.

Funeral services were at the First Assembly of God Church Sunday, October 21, 1990, at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. Loyd Adams.

Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with arrangements by Bradshaw German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele.

Pallbearers were Steve Hitchens, Ronnie Forbus, Larry Rorie, Loyd Rorie, Jim Little and Calvin L. Hickman.
