BLOOMINGTON, IL — Wilma I. White, 87, Bloomington, died at 9:40 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 4, 2010) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Her funeral will be at noon Sunday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. John Mincy officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded with burial at a later date at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Sunday at the memorial home.

Memorials may be made to Cerebral Palsy Foundation. (Wilma's great granddaughter, Jessica Leslie Haney, was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy as a toddler.)

She was born June 29, 1922, at Joplin, Mo., to Henry and Clara Benge Lawson. She married Robert A. White on May 16, 1942, at Kirksville, Mo. He died March 24, 1965.

Surviving are her children, Jack D. (Judie) White, Bloomington; Richard A. (Madeline) White, Nashville, Tenn.; and Janet M. Canada, Bloomington; nine grandchildren, Tim, Cindy, Stella, Lisa, Dawn, Diana, Ted, Treva and Hodgie; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Connie Jo White; brothers, Fred Lawson, Earl Lawson, Leslie Lawson, Emery Lawson and Wilburn Lawson; sisters, Edna Blodgett and Bertha Stokes; and daughter-in-law, Judy White.

Wilma loved bingo and was an avid baseball fan. She will be loved and missed by everyone she touched
