A Celebration of Life Service for Virginia M. Bjorgaard, age 87, Willow Springs, Mo., formerly of Oakland, Iowa, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013, at Lighthouse Assembly of God, Willow Springs.
Mrs. Bjorgaard went to be with her Lord at 1:40 a.m., Monday, January 14, 2013, at Willow Care. She was born April 17, 1925, at Woonsocket, S.D., to Joseph and Florence Todd Christensen. Her faith, family and friends defined her life. Virginia was an excellent baker and created elaborate wedding cakes for many family and friends. She loved traveling, camping and fishing.
Her parents, one son, Dennis Bjorgaard and wife, Ginger; one sister, Mary Jo Ault; one brother, Alwin Christenson; and three brothers-in-law, Wally Gregg, Loren Cunningham and Norm Kolpin, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three children, Dale Bjorgaard, wife, Lucy, Susan Ende, husband, Allen and Sandra Anderson, husband, David; eleven grandchildren, Denise, Dennis II, Dee, wife, Cristy, Matthew, Christopher, Joseph, Andrew, wife, Brandi, Kari Powell, husband, Fred, Adam, wife, Rita, Deidre BeVirt, husband, Tomas and David Anderson, wife, Marli; twenty seven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; five sisters, June Gregg, Eunice Garrett, husband, Bill, Joyce Cunningham, Delores Christenson and Beverly Kolpin; one brother, Marvin Christensen, wife, Norma; and one brother-in-law, Tom Ault.
