Graveside services for Kenneth Stanley Young, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 5, 2018 at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Young died 1:06 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at NHC HealthCare. He was born March 21, 1928 at Des Moines, Iowa to Charlie R. Young and Ila D. Craig Young. On April 25, 1953, Mr. Young was married at Chicago, Illinois to Mildred “Millie” Theresa Jurich who preceded him in death on January 4, 2001. He was a veteran having served with the United States Army. Before his retirement, Mr. Young had been employed for twenty-six years as a blueprint reader with Link Belt Company, Chicago, Illinois. He was a member of the American Legion and Am Vets of West Plains; also, he enjoyed playing games. Mr. Young was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by two children, Bonnie Koll and children, Brian and Dana, Chicago, Illinois and Gary Young, wife, Diane and children, Jamie and Gary Young, Jr., Chicago, Illinois; two great grandchildren, Alex and Hannah Koll; four brothers, Thomas Young, wife, Joyce, Pottersville, Missouri, Howard Young, Charles Young, and Sam Young, wife, Lana, all of West Plains, Missouri; four sisters, Violet Luna, West Plains, Missouri, Venita Howard, Dora, Missouri, Shirley Rosenbum, husband, Kenneth, West Plains, Missouri and Connie Hunt, husband, Herman, Pottersville, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, and two sisters, Edna Pratt and Virginia Young, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m., Monday, February 5th, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
