Will Copeland of Steele died last Thursday evening about 6 o'clock. Mr. Copeland has been postmaster of Steele for about 3 years. He was liked by everybody. He leaves a wife and six children, a number of relatives and a host of friends. The body was laid to rest in the Holly cemetery.

William Simon Copeland of Steele, who died last Thursday evening at 6 o'clock at his residence in that place was interred Friday afternoon, at Holly Cemetery in Steele.
Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Baldridge, of the Baptist church of Caruthersille officiating.
The deceased was 48 years of age, and had lived in Steele for fifteen years, going there from near Jackson, Tenn., where he spent the former years of his life.
For five years he had served the people of that community as postmaster and though in ill health for the past six months, was always present to aid the public in administering his duties.
He was a kind husband and a devoted father and will be very greatly mssed by both relatives and also his many friends.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Allie Copeland; four daughters, Reba, Ellen, Mae and Margaret; two sons, Kermit and Earl, all of whom reside at home, and three brothers, and three sisters.
