Lillie Mae Mathis Ballentine (1898 - 1969)
Mary Lou Ballentine, age 5 months, twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hervey Ballentine, died Wednesday evening at the family home, death due to whooping cough. The little child seemed to be doing nicely until Tuesday when she became worse. She leaves her parents, and several brothers and sisters, who will sadly miss her.
The entire city and community extends sympathy to the family in their bereavement.
Funeral and burial services in charge of the German Undertaking Co. and Rev. A.B. Sadler were held Thursday afternoon at the home. Interment was made in the Holly Cemetery.
