Graveside services for Tommy Lovins, 70, Pomona, Mo., will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2007, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Lovins died 9:10 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2007, at his home. He was born Sept. 6, 1936, in West Plains, Mo., to Harve and Bessie Harring Lovins. He graduated from West Plains High School, and on Aug. 17, 1956, was married at West Plains to Mona Charlene Lovan, who preceded him in death Sept. 12, 1997.
Mr. Lovins was a veteran, having served with the Missouri Army National Guard, and before his retirement worked in the plumbing and sheet metal industry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses and drove cars for Auto World.
Mr. Lovins was of the Baptist faith and had attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Lee Lovins, wife, Shelly, Pomona; three grandchildren, Jessica Kenslow, husband, Jeff, West Plains, Mitch Lovins, West Plains, and Tyler Lovins, Pomona; two great-grandchildren, Emily Kenslow and Kelsey Kenslow; his mother, Bessie Lovins, West Plains; and one sister, Shirlene Collins.
His father; wife; and one sister, Peggy, preceded him in death.
Mr. Lovins will lie in state from 4 p.m. Thursday until 1 p.m. Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice and left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. [robertsondrago.com]
