Funeral services for William Thomas Cannon were held Thursday, August 18, 1983 at 2:00 p.m. at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Mr. Mark Raulerson officiated.

Mr. Cannon was born July 28, 1891 in Dardanelle, Ark., and died August 16, 1983 at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti at 92.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Maude Cannon, of Holland; three daughters: Virginia Mae Cannon, of Holland. Jewel Pugh of Holland, and Margret Pontius of Muskegon, Mich.; one son, Ralph Cannon of Steele; one sister, Mattilee Ihrig of California; one brother, Will Cannon of Holland; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Hobart Poteet, David Whitfield, Paul Cooper, W.M. Barnes, Roy Barnes and Chester Barnes.

Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Maude Cannon was born April 17, 1896, in Casa, Ark., and died February 14, 1984 at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti. She was 87.

Her husband, William T. Cannon, preceded her in death on August 16, 1983.

She leaves three daughters, Virginia Mae Cannon of Holland, Jewell Pugh of Holland, and Margaret Pontius of Muskegon, Mich.; one son, Ralph Cannon of Steele; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 17, 1984 at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Mark Raulerson officiated.

Pallbearers were S.L. Johns, Homer Ledford, Joe Samford, W.M. Barnes, Cecil Brown, and Sam Ellis.

Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
