Mrs. Mary Opal Channell, 77, of Holland, died March 19, 1993 at her home. Born January 31, 1916, she was the daughter of Robert and Hulda Mae Cordle Harder. She was a homemaker and the widow of Joe Channell.
She is survived by a son, J.W. Channell of Covington, Tenn.; a daughter, Patsy Pruett of Osceola; a brother, E.W. Harder of Borger, Texas; two sisters, Lillian King of Morehouse and Evelyn Payne of Rives; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Services were March 21, at 2 p.m. at Bradshaw's German-Aumon Funeral Home chapel in Steele, the Rev. John Dunavant officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dennis Wayne Pruett, Joe G. Channell, Leroy, Jackie, Robert and Billy Wayne King, and Russell and Larry Joe Payne.
