Funeral services for Hubert Elsworth Crumb were held Thursday, January 12, 1984 at 2:0 p.m. at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Rev. Billy Skinner officiated.
Mr. Crumb was born October 22, 1914 in Corning, Ark., and died January 9, 1984. He was a retired farm worker. Family members said he died of a heart attack at the family home on the Bayou.
He leaves his wife, Ida Crumb of Steele; one daughter, Carolyn Crumb of Chaffee, Mo.; and two sons, Leon Crumb of Chaffee and Hubert Joe Crumb, who is in the U.S. Navy.
Pallbearers were Perry Jumper, Frankie Jumper, Charles Jumper, Carl Johnson, Truman Larue, and Barry Riddick.
Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
